Swimming pond needs sufficient space
We advise you that you should first acquire some knowledge before building. Whether the pond works depends on many technical and biological factors. First of all, there should be at least 500 square feet of space in the garden. In smaller ponds, swimming is just not fun.
Build your swimming pond: Not an entirely solo project

Both are separated by a barrier that leads from the bottom of the pond up to about 30 centimeters below the water surface. As a rule of thumb, the regeneration zone should be nearly as large as the swimming zone. The smaller the regeneration zone, the more technology is needed to clean the water.
Have the excavator dig the swimming pond
Before laying the foil, the soil must be excavated at the planned location. The swimming area should be at least 120 centimeters deep. Cover pond foil with gravel

Because the pond liner is heavy, several helpers should lend a hand. That prevents the foil from tearing. The bottom of the swimming pond is covered with granular gravel. This way the film remains invisible.
Placing pond plants in nutrient-poor substrate
Plants are the secret of natural water purification. That is why the regeneration area must have different water depths that meet the requirements of aquatic plants. The flowers are best planted in a nutrient-poor substrate. Baskets prevent excessive proliferation. For the filling of the pond, a well and pipe washer should be used.
